The Village of Lexington

We are thrilled to announce we have chosen our first neighborhood to be our social hub: Beaumont-Gardenside Neighborhood, which will be led by Beth Alexander of Beaumont Presbyterian Church, Wendi Keene Neighborhood Coordinator (NC), and Matt McMahan, retired UK Pharmacist and NC for Headly-Green HOA. These people have all agreed to be our first pilot program.

We are getting to roll out the data from our six scopes of work soon, so please stay tune (HINT: Were you aware that most of the people who took our community assessment were either from the Unitarian Universalist Church of Lexington or the Second Presbyterian Church on Maxwell). Many more fascinating data will be forthcoming. Dr. Abigail Latimer (UK College of Medicine and Social Work), Dr Lynden Bond (UK College of Social Work), and Dr. Carolyn Oldham (UK College of Education) have all had their noses to the grind stone to obtain this information, and categorize it, so we can make sense of it all.

If you would like to be a part of looking at this data and interpreting the meaning and the best action to take, please call us at 859 368 2656 or info@a-caring-place.com
