Introduction

Welcome to A Caring Place Village in Lexington, KY! We're excited to share our mission of creating a supportive and nurturing environment for our amazing residents. As we charge into July 2025, we can't wait to provide you with a dynamic status report that showcases the ongoing developments, triumphs, and challenges our community is experiencing. This report not only highlights our significant milestones but also underscores our unwavering commitment to top-notch care and the enhancement of living conditions.

Community Development Updates

In the past few months, A Caring Place Village has witnessed some truly incredible growth in our community organization! We are thrilled to announce that we are holding 3 exciting Events every week until the end of summer. At each Event, we gather invaluable feedback from our audience about what they need to thrive in aging safely at home. We can't wait to design our future Village around our residents' needs! Moreover, we are proudly showcasing subject matter experts on aging issues from the community to share vital health information with our audience. A Caring Place also provides a captivating overview of our program and how it will seamlessly integrate into the Village. Our fantastic University of Kentucky Professors, who have been instrumental during this evaluation stage, conduct a thorough community assessment of needs. So, take your time, chat with your neighbors, and enjoy our delicious foods catered by Sequel Catering Co.!

We are excited to implement a hub and spoke business model, allowing our Village to have a central hub (or business office, where the Director will make magic happen) and spokes (shared interest eldercare groups spread throughout the community). These groups are called 'circles' and will serve as the central focus for small gatherings and the identification of needs! Our neighbors helping neighbors concept will empower these circles and their members. Together, the hub and circles will create "A Caring Place Village" like no other!

It has been a fantastic opportunity to connect with other experts in the healthcare field, fostering collaborative or contractual relationships, and forming an enthusiastic coalition with other groups who share our passion for improving the quality of life for our older adults and disabled community members.

We anticipate having all of the data collection for the 6 different scopes required by the City of Lexington finalized by mid-September. Halleluia! We made it!

Now for the exciting part! We’re diving into grouping the data and analyzing how it applies to our organization! We’re buzzing with excitement as we speculate what the #1 priority will be. What do you think it could be????
